Definition of Paint
Paint is defined as a chemical material that creates a decorative and protective layer when applied on a surface. This material is a chemical mixture that is formulated using the following 4 main elements based on some specific principles:
• Binders
• Pigments and filler materials
• Chemical additives
• Solvents (+Water)

Expectations from Paint
The expectations of the users, particularly painters or consumers, from a good paint:
• Coverage
• Whiteness
• Water buoyancy (adjusting paint viscosity with water)
• Ease of application
• Budget
• Color
• Consumption

Right Paint Selection
First a paint that suits the surface should be selected. If any auxiliary material is needed, this should also be in line with the application surface and the paint. Quality products should be preferred when buying paints. Cheap and low quality ones will cost the same per square meter. A choice made just for a little gain may lead to huge losses in the future. The market has paints, primers and thinners of every quality. However, it is recommended to use the right paint, primer and thinner for the surface to get the best results.

When buying a paint, it should be checked if the product conforms to TSE standards and the manufacturer has ISO 9000 certificate.

Whether the color to be used on interior or exterior surfaces go well with the space should be tested with a applying on a small surface.

For 2025, the Pantone Color Institute selects PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse, a warming, brown hue imbued with richness. It nurtures us with its suggestion of the delectable qualities of chocolate and coffee, answering our desire for comfort.
